Darren and his partner had to move from his 2-bedroom unit in Waitara to a new apartment in Chatswood. He had a standard 2-bedroom home and when he called, we quoted around 4-6 hours with a total cost of about $650 to $900. 

Darren and Shelly packed 30 boxes in total. They had done everything they could to prepare for the move except for dismantling their beds which they requested our team to do.

The staircase was narrow in his building in Waitara and it was a shared lift at Chatswood. However, the men disassembled and moved everything carefully so there would be no damage claims from building management. The job took 5.5 hours in the end and cost $850.

A local law firm had to move from Archer St to Neridah st. They needed many boxes for all their files and paperwork and had 2 heavy safes that qualified as specialty items. Luckil,y they requested a fixed price inspection which enabled the project manager to determine the correct the number of boxes. The move supervisor also advised the director on how to procure the loading zone and try to get access at the delivery address.

At the delivery address the move supervisor identified a key issue which were the narrow lane access with limited parking. Though the volume calculation came to 35 cubic metres a large truck would not fit. 

The fixed price was $3300 including the delivery and pick up of 60 packing crates. Four men and 2 small trucks were required to move everything due to the difficult access. There were all the files and archives that had to be moved as well as desks, a photocopier, bookcases, credenzas and boardroom equipment. 

The move took 8 hours and the law firm’s manager was pleased that the office move was completed in one day. This allowed his staff to unpack all their files into their shelving system the very next day. He was especially impressed by how they handled the safes!
